For Fatima
and it always finds its way home
There are people who are good
when it is easy,
and then there is you,
good when no one is watching,
good when it costs you something,
good when the world gives you
every excuse not to be.
That kind of goodness is not common.
It is not learned.
It is the kind you are simply born with,
and somehow you have kept it
through everything
that could have taken it from you.
Never lose that.
Not for anyone.
Not for a world that sometimes mistakes
kindness for weakness.
Your softness is not a flaw in you.
It is the best thing about you.
Because here is what I know to be true:
goodness like yours does not disappear.
It travels.
It leaves a mark on every person it touches,
and one day, in a moment you least expect,
it finds its way back to you.
Every kind word you gave when you had none left,
every time you chose grace over anger,
every quiet thing you did that no one thanked you for,
none of it is wasted.
It is being saved for you,
and it will return to you
in ways you cannot yet imagine.
You are proof
that the good in this world still exists.
When people wonder if kind souls are real,
you are the answer.
So stay exactly as you are.
The world does not need you to be harder.
It needs more people like you,
who love gently,
who forgive quietly,
and who make everyone around them
a little more human.
And if the world is ever unkind to you,
remember this:
the good you carry is not weakness.
It is the strongest thing there is.
It always finds its way home.
And so will everything good
you have ever given.
For you, always
